I too loved SORCERER back in the '70s. But Michael didn't mention the MUSIC! The soundtrack by Tangerine Dream made the movie!!
Norm's right. The Tangerine Dream soundtrack both makes one smile and immediately dates the movie to the late 70s/early 80s. The apex was obviously Risky Business in a song called "Real Train" or something. I still own that one.
