SIFF Sighting: BOYHOOD (Drama; USA)

"I thought there would be more."

The new Richard Linklater masterpiece Boyhood is filled with revelations like this that pass by so naturally you may miss them.

Ellar Coltrane (Mason) is phenomenal as a boy who ages 12 years before our eyes; Patricia Arquette and Ethan Hawke deliver pitch perfect performances as his parents, as does Lorelei Linklater who portrays his sister.

Don't miss it.

BOYHOOD screened at the 40th Seattle International Film Festival.

It's BEFORE SUNRISE and BEFORE SUNSET for Cinebanter #105

Dear Listeners,

Since it was my turn to choose the film for our July episode, and nothing that Michael and I both wanted to see was playing in both of our cities, I decided to craft the show I've been wanting to do for ages: formally reviewing BEFORE SUNRISE & BEFORE SUNSET.

These were some of the first films Michael and I discussed when we became friends and it's fitting that for Cinebanter's 5th anniversary, we review something dear to both of us.

If you haven't already seen both films, I highly recommend you do so. If you've seen them both already, why not revisit them this summer and send us some feedback after you listen to the show?

We'd love to hear from you!
